Description

I created a landing template as a showcase for Aurora – Admin Dashboard & WebApp Template. Since this page wasn’t part of the main product but a separate landing page highlighting all its features, I had the freedom to get creative with the design.

As the landing page was scheduled for release in 2025, I had to research and stay up to date with the latest trends in modern landing page design. Inspired by the product name—taken from the northern lights—I chose a dark theme with glowing light effects to make the design more contextual.

I came up with different ideas for hover and scroll effects in each section to make the page more engaging for potential customers. I also explored techniques to showcase product features in interesting ways to enhance the user experience. After completing the design, I worked closely with the development team to ensure a smooth and accurate implementation.

After the showcase page was released, weekly sales increased by nearly four times.

Key Tasks

Researched modern trends of landing pages

Used after effects to animate background video for the hero section

Used multiple motion hover and scroll effects for all the sections.

Collaborated with developers closely for a finished and polished outcome

Created relevant animations using After Effects

Since our product is named Aurora, I aimed to create an animation that seamlessly integrates with both the concept and the overall design philosophy. The animation not only reflects the qualities associated with the name but also enhances the user experience by providing a visually captivating transition that grabs the user’s attention when entering the website for the first time.

Animated a video that grabs attention of the user, and blended well with a design

Used advanced prototyping in Figma to create animations that could be coded directly.

With the help of advanced prototyping, I managed to create animations using vector properties directly in Figma. It was easy for the developers to implement them directly in code afterwards. As a result, although the animations were beautiful and decent in scale, they were smooth and light in size.

Used advanced prototyping

Developed animations that can be integrated through coding

Managed to keep the overall website lightweight with a short loading time

Designed engaging hover effects

Using Figma’s prototyping, I managed to use different engaging hover effects that increased user engagement with the product.
